Various disasters always occur unexpectedly. What do these disasters herald?

In recent years, the disasters around the world become more and more and greater and greater, the situation of countries is in turmoil, such as the earthquake and typhoon in the Philippines, the flood in India, the typhoon in Japan, the protests in Hong Kong, the fires in Indonesia and Brazil, the recent fire in Australia, the pestilence in China, etc.

Various disasters always occur unexpectedly. What do these disasters herald? What message do they deliver to us? Maybe, some feel scared, but some think that there are too many disasters today, so they see them very normal and feel those disasters are far from them. But there is one point that we have to mention. All the believers in the Lord know the Bible prophesied, “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven”(Luke 21:11)“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows”(Mark 13:8). It can be seen that various terrifying disasters are reminding us of a fact that the prophecies of the last days in the Bible have been fulfilled. Some may say, “What will be after the fulfillment of prophecies? Though disasters become more, we still live well, don't we?” Is the thing really as simple as we imagine? The Bible records, “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all”(Luke 17:26-29). Before God destroyed the world with a flood in the age of Noah, He instructed Noah to build an ark. Noah obeyed God’s work. He was building the ark, at the same time, he spread the gospel. However, the people at that time indulged themselves in eating, drinking, and merrymaking, and lived in evilness and promiscuousness, nor repented. When God's day came, God had sent torrential rain for forty days and nights, as a result, all the world was overwhelmed by flood. Then look back to the time when God wrought destruction upon Sodom, at that time, Sodom was an alluring and bewitching city with music and dancing night after night, the people lusted for eating, drinking and fleshly enjoyments, a life like that in the age of Noah. When God’s day came, God sent fire and brimstone from the sky, Sodom was finally burned into ashes. What is the present situation like? The extent of man’s corruption is even worse than that of people in the age of Noah and the age of Sodom. We lust for hankering after carnal pleasures all day long, advocate wickedness, and don’t worship God … We still live this way, have no sense of urgency, nor come before God and repent. If God’s day comes, won’t our result be the same as that of people in those two ages? So, no matter how great end-time disasters are, as long as we repent before God sincerely, and rely on and look up to Him in everything, we’ll have God’s care and protection. Next, let’s watch a video together and look for a path to gaining God’s protection in end-time disasters.

Christian Inspirational Videos Clip - God's Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were full of evil, licentiousness, rampant murders, and indulgence in extravagant pleasures. They reached the point of clamoring against God, of fighting against Him, enraging His disposition. … Burning sulfur rained down from the sky … all their residents were reduced to ashes …

Almighty God says:“Why did God want destruction? There is another revelation of God’s disposition here: In God’s eyes, there is a limit to His patience toward man’s corruption, toward the filthiness, violence, and disobedience of all flesh. What is His limit? It’s as God said: “God looked on the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way on the earth.” What does the phrase “for all flesh had corrupted his way on the earth” mean? It means any living thing, including those who followed God, those who called on the name of God, those who once sacrificed burnt offerings to God, those who verbally acknowledged God and even praised God—once their behavior was full of corruption and reached God’s eyes, He would have to destroy them. That was God’s limit. So to what extent did God remain patient to man and the corruption of all flesh? To the extent that all people, whether followers of God or unbelievers, were not walking the right path. To the extent that man was not just morally corrupt and full of evil, but where there was no one who believed in God’s existence, let alone anyone who believed that the world is ruled by God and that God can bring people light and the right path. To the extent that man despised God’s existence and did not permit God to exist. Once man’s corruption reached this point, God would no longer have patience. What would replace it instead? The coming of God’s wrath and God’s punishment. Was that not a partial revelation of God’s disposition?” (God’s Work, God’s Disposition, and God Himself I. in The Word Appears in the Flesh)
